About The Outcasts
The Outcasts were a Northern Irish punk rock trio active in the early 1980s. Formed by guitarist and vocalist Greg Cowan, bassist Colin Cowan and drummer Micky McManus, the band released three albums and several singles. The Outcasts recorded two albums for Good Vibrations Records, which included a number of their most popular titles such as “Just Another Teenage Rebel” and “Fashions Change”. They also released one LP on Belfast independent label Broken Records, which was produced by musician and producer Edwyn Collins. The Outcasts’ singles achieved moderate success in the UK, reaching the lower rungs of the Top 75 chart. The band also toured extensively in the UK and Europe throughout the 1980s, playing notable dates alongside The Damned, Television, 999, The Ramones, and U2.
