The Pioneers tickets

Formed in Jamaica in 1963, The Pioneers are a famous reggae music group made up of Jackie Robinson, Derrick Crooks, and Sydney Wolfe. They took British music hall melodies and combined them with the Soul, R&B and Rocksteady sounds of Jamaica in the late 1960s. Their first release, “Long Shot Bus’ Me Bet,” made a significant splash in the British Reggae scene and earned them a UK recording contract. The Pioneers found success with hits such as “Time Hard”, “Let Your Yeah Be Yeah”, and “Easy Come Easy Go”. Their lifelong influence can be heard throughout the genres of Reggae and Ska today. The Pioneers are still performing and have just released a new album, celebrating their 50th anniversary together.
