The Starting Line is an American rock band from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, that began performing in 1999 and released their first album, "Say It Like You Mean It" in 2002. They experienced much mainstream success with their follow-up album, "Based on a True Story" in 2005. The band is known for combining catchy pop-punk hooks with a brash, energetic rock sound. After a three year departure, the band reunited in 2007 and released an EP and full-length LP in 2009. After another brief departure, The Starting Line returned to form in 2016 and have released several singles and projects over the past few years. The band continues to play shows and tour, bringing their signature blend of melodic punk to audiences around the world.
