The Wedding Present are an English rock band formed in 1985 in Leeds, England. They achieved their greatest commercial success in the late ‘80s and early ‘90s on the back of their fourth album, Bizarro, which was certified gold by the British Phonographic Industry. Their sound is often described as a combination of jangly guitar pop and haunting ballads, and they’ve released a total of ten studio albums. Their eleventh album, Going, Going…, is expected to be released in 2020. Additionally, they’ve released several singles that have charted in the UK Singles Chart, including “Brassneck”, “Kennedy”, and “Dalliance”. The Wedding Present have toured all over the world and are still active today.
