Tilly Tjala Thomas tickets

Tilly Tjala Thomas is an Indigenous Australian musician, songwriter and visual artist. The Yankunytjatjara-Anangu woman is based in Papulankutja in the remote Western Desert of Australia. She began singing and writing music as a child and continued to develop her talents.

Thomas’ music ranges from traditional desert songs to electro-indigenous pop music. She has released several EP and two full-length albums. Her latest album, Wakitjunka, was released in 2019 to critical acclaim and was nominated for two NIMA Awards.

In addition to her musical releases, Thomas also crafts visual art. Her works include scrunchies, necklaces, and face paint designs made using traditional Aboriginal techniques.

Thomas is passionate about empowering young Indigenous people to get involved in the music industry, create art and making a positive difference. In 2020, she was the recipient of a Blacken Music Fellowship to continue
