Trace Mountains is an American indie rock singer-songwriter from New York City that follows the tradition of DIY culture. His music stems from the exploration of memory, loss, and love. His self-recorded, self-released debut album ‘A Partner To Lean On’ was released in 2019 and follows largely in the same vein as the music of 'Big Thief' and 'Mount Eerie'. His sound can be described as echoey, melancholic, and lo-fi acoustic folk. Recently, he has toured with artists such as Soccer Mommy and Lucy Dacus. His music has been featured on several influential sites, including Pitchfork and Stereogum, and his song ‘Lost In The Country’ was featured in the 2020 video game, ‘Destiny 2: Beyond Light’.
