Udo Dirkschneider is a German metal vocalist, best known as the vocalist of the legendary heavy metal band Accept. He was in the band from 1976 to 1987, and was the lead voice and frontman for all of the band's most successful songs. He then formed the band U.D.O., a heavy metal project that focused on an '80s-style of metal, until deciding to return to Accept in 2009. After many worldwide tours, Udo released "Back to the Roots" in 2016, the album focusing on Accept songs re-recorded by U.D.O. Udo continues to perform and record with both Accept and U.D.O, as well as releasing solo albums.
