Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats is a British rock band, formed in Cambridge in 2009. The project of frontman Kevin Starrs, a horror movie fan, is heavily influenced by 1970s rock and metal. The band's debut album, 'Volume 1', was released independently in 2011 and caught the attention of US label Rise Above, who released their second album 'Blood Lust' in 2012. Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats have released 4 full length albums total, each to critical acclaim, and have performed at some of the top music festivals in the world. Their most recent album 'Wasteland' was released in 2018, and continues to carry on their signature sound of doom-metal style riffs and nostalgic melodies.
