Xander and the Peace Pirates are an indie-folk band based out of Los Angeles. The band, formed in 2014, is composed of lead singer/guitarist Xander Smith and backing band The Peace Pirates. Their music has been described as a mix of indie folk, soul, funk, and R&B, and is heavily influenced by artists like Bob Dylan, Elvis Costello, and Marvin Gaye. The band has released two studio albums, 2017's 'When the World Comes Home' and 2020's 'Burnin'', both of which have been praised for their melodic arrangements and genre-bending sound.
