Jeanne Cherhal is a French singer-songwriter known for her soulful voice and transportive lyrics. She has been performing since 2000 and has released seven solo albums throughout her career. Her 2006 album ‘L’Eau’ was nominated for a Victoires de la Musique award in the ‘Best Contemporary Album’ category. Her 2010 album ‘Double Jeu’ was her most successful to date, reaching the top 10 on the French Album Chart, and spawned a European Top 40 single with 'Vrai'. In addition to her solo work, she has collaborated with many French artists including Benjamin Biolay and Yann Tiersen, as well as playing concerts with other international artists, such as Mina from Japan. Cherhal continues to write music, release albums, and perform live, having released her most recent album ‘L’Etranger’ in 2018.
