KBong (b. Kory Mastero) is a singer-songwriter from Long Beach, California. His musical style melds traditional reggae and island sounds with contemporary pop. He began his career with his 2016 EP, Different Light, followed by his debut studio album, The Road to Rooted, released in 2017. He also collaborated with Pacific Dub and released two singles. KBong has shared stages with artists like Steel Pulse, The Expendables, and Collie Buddz. In 2020, KBong released the single “Take a Second”, an energetic, feel-good track. His music has been featured on influential playlists, such as Spotify’s The New Roots and Top Shelf Reggae, as well as Apple Music’s A-List Reggae.
