About Deafheaven

Deafheaven is an American metal band from San Francisco, whose unique style of blackgaze blurs the lines between black metal and shoegaze. Formed in 2010, the group consists of frontman George Clarke, guitarists Kerry McCarvel and Shiv Mehra, bassist Chris Johnson and drummer Daniel Tracy.
Their debut album 'Roads to Judah' was released in 2011, combining elements of post-metal and shoegaze, following which their 2013 breakthrough album 'Sunbather' gained them a large following and was widely critically acclaimed. This was followed by the albums, 'New Bermuda' and 'Ordinary Corrupt Human Love', with their fifth album 'Infinite Granite' set to be released in 2021.
Having been highly influential on the metal, post-metal and shoegaze scenes, Deafheaven have collaborated with Silver Mt. Zion and Neurosis, performed in numerous festivals, and toured around the world.
