About New Edition

New Edition is an American R&B vocal group from the Roxbury neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts. The group originally consisted of Bobby Brown, Ralph Tresvant, Ricky Bell, Michael Bivins, Ronnie DeVoe and Johnny Gill. Originally formed in 1978, they are considered some of the pioneers of R&B. They have released 9 studio albums and sold over 25 million records worldwide. Their most popular singles include “Can You Stand the Rain”, “If It Isn’t Love”, “Candy Girl”, “Cool It Now” and “Mr. Telephone Man”. They also had a highly successful reunion album and tour in 2004. The group continues to tour and record music together, with their most recent album coming out in 2017.
