About Death From Above 1979
Death From Aobve 1979 is a Canadian electro-rock duo from Toronto, Ontario comprised of Sebastien Grainger and Jesse F. Keeler. The band began as a duo in 2001 releasing a self-titled album in 2004. The most prominent elements of their music tend to be the musical interplay between Grainger's catchy vocal melodies and Keeler's danceable basslines. They're most well known for their singles “Romantic Rights”, “Turn It Out” and “Black History Month”. In 2006, DFA79 disbanded and both Grainger and Keeler pursued separate musical endeavors. After a ten-year separation, the duo reunified in 2011 and released their second album, The Physical World, in 2014. Since then, the band has continued to perform live shows and embark on international tours.
