Mr. Bungle is an American experimental rock band that was formed in 1985. They are known for combining elements of heavy metal, ska, funk, and avant-garde music. After releasing several demos in the late 1980s, their first studio album was released in 1991. The album, entitled Mr. Bungle, was well-received critically and spawned the single "Quote Unquote" which pushed the band to minor fame. In 1999, their second and final album, California, was released as the band had disbanded shortly after its creation. Since then, the band has reformed sporadically for reunion tours and one-off performances, and their music continues to influence many of today's musical artists.
