Pallbearer is an American sludge/doom metal band formed in Little Rock, Arkansas in 2008. Founded by Brett Campbell (vocals, guitars) and Devin Holt (guitars), the current line-up of the band also includes Joseph Rowland (bass) and Mark Lierly (drums). They have released 3 full-length albums to date. Their debut album Sorrow and Extinction (2012) made them instant stars in the doom metal scene and was praised by publications like Pitchfork and Decibel Magazine. Following up on its success, they released their sophomore album Foundations of Burden in 2014, which saw the band further honing their sound. Their third album Heartless (2017) was also met with critical acclaim and was praised by fans and critics alike. The band has toured extensively and shared the stage with acts like Sleep, Neurosis and Opeth.
