Phish is an American rock band that was formed in 1983 by vocalist and guitarist Trey Anastasio, bassist Mike Gordon, and drummer Jon Fishman. The band focused on improvisation and extended instrumental compositions, mixing a variety of genres ranging from alt-rock and funk to bluegrass and jazz. Phish's music earned the band a devoted nationwide fanbase due to their extensive touring and studio work. Phish released 14 studio albums, hundreds of live releases, and several DVDs, as well as receiving two Grammy Award nominations.
