Black Happy was an alternative rock band formed in 1989 in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Known for their unique fusion of rock, funk, and ska, they distinguished themselves with an energetic horn section that added a dynamic layer to their sound. The band released two well-received albums, "Friendly Dog Salad" and "Peghead," which garnered a dedicated following in the Pacific Northwest. Black Happy disbanded in 1995 but left a lasting impact on the regional music scene, briefly reuniting for a series of performances in 2010 and 2016, reviving their infectious and energetic live show for devoted fans.
