Chromeo is bringing the 80s retro vibe back into the new millennium. Formed in 2002 in Chicago from a shared love and passion for gloomy synths and dusted drum-machines, Chromeo took music notes from funk, soul, and old school R&B and created a sound that they deemed their own.
Perfecting their sound as each new record and released went by, Chromeo ended up creating highly market accessible. Made up from two multi-instrumentalists, their 80s embedded electro-funk tunes quickly caught on with the public, making Chromeo a radio worthy duo whose music didn't amount to anything but pure funkadelic beats.
Their albums followed a similar music line, yet as the years went by, their music quality increased, adding vocalists into the mix and creating new millennium electro-disco anthems.
