Darryl Jones is an American electric bassplayer who has been on the music scene for over three decades. He has served as the bassist for The Rolling Stones since 1993, as well as for bands such as Sting, Miles Davis, and Joe Zawinul. He has also released three solo albums: Cosmic Portal, Jet Lag, and the most recent Expression. Jones has earned numerous accolades for his work over the years, being nominated for a Grammy in 2009 for his work with Sting and winning the Orville Gibson Award for Best Bassist in 2004. He has appeared on numerous soundtracks and collaborated with many other prominent musicians, helping to bring innovation to the Jazz, Pop, and African and Latin American genres. Jones is a respected bass guitarist and one of the most in-demand artists in the music industry.
