About David Hobson

David Hobson is an Australian classical crossover tenor and is renowned for performing a diverse range of musical works from classical to musical theatre.

He has released seven solo albums and has featured in two of Australia’s highest grossing productions, The Ten Tenors and The 12 Tenors. He was also a performer in the Australian production of the Broadway musical Miss Saigon, and appeared on the television show Australia’s Got Talent.

David Hobson has performed extensively around the world, from the stages in Jakarta and Kuala Lumpur, to the Edinburgh Festival, Barcelona’s Liceu, Tokyo’s Nippon Budokan and the Joan Sutherland Theatre in Sydney.

He has released two albums that have gone gold in Australia, and four number one Aria classical albums. He has received several ARIA Award nominations, and his album Encore debuted at number one on the Aria Classical Chart. He has also been nominated for multiple Help
