Northlane is an Australian metalcore band from Sydney, Australia. Formed in 2009, the current lineup consists of vocalist Marcus Bridge, guitarists Jon Deiley and Josh Smith, bassist Brendon Padjasek, and drummer Nic Pettersen. Northlane has released five full-length albums to critical acclaim, ranging from post-hardcore to metalcore and progressive metal. Their most recent, 2018's Alien, peaked at #1 on the ARIA chart and marked a shift towards more progressive and experimental sound for the band. Northlane have performed at major festivals like Reading and Leeds and at club dates all over the world. Their musical style has been compared to Periphery, Deftones, Architects, and other metal acts with their blend of ambient and heavy sounds.
