About The Kids

The Kids avatar

The Kids are a Dutch rock band who have been performing since 1978. Their initial line-up consisted of vocalist and guitarist Gideon Dagan, bassist Bas Verheul and drummer Pedro Gordo. They released a debut single in 1979 and gained popularity with their 1980 single “There Will Be No Next Time”. The Kids released several more singles and studio albums through their career, and even after numerous personnel changes, the band still tours. They have been cited as an influence by artists like U2 and Simple Minds and are considered one of the founding fathers of punk and new wave music in Europe. The Kids have been performing together for over 40 years, making them one of the longest-running Dutch bands in history.
