Ali Wong is a stand-up comedian and writer from San Francisco, California. She has become a popular name in the comedy scene due to her unique brand of honest and edgy, yet irreverent and relatable stand-up comedy. Wong made her film debut in the 2018 movie Hard Knock Wife, which she wrote and stars in. She also released two Netflix specials, Baby Cobra and Hard Knock Wife, in 2016 and 2018 respectively. Both specials received critical acclaim, leading to her being named one of Variety’s 10 comics to watch in 2017. Aside from her comedy, Wong has written for the hit television series Fresh Off the Boat and American Housewife. She has also written a best-selling memoir, Dear Girls, and regularly appears as a guest on podcasts and talk shows.
