Marcia Hines is a renowned pop, R&B and soul singer from Australia, who rose to fame in the mid-1970s. She quickly gained popularity for her soulful, powerful vocals, and for the undeniable depth she brought to each performance. Hines went on to represent Australia at Eurovision in 1977 with the iconic song 'Disco Down'. The song proved to be an international hit, and was followed by several top 20 hits in Australia and the UK. In 1978 she became the first female artist to be inducted in to the Australian Rock Music Awards ‘Hall of Fame’. Since then, she has gone on to be nominated for two ARIA Awards. Carving out a successful career in music, theatre and television, Hines continues to be a much loved performer.
