Rex Orange County, also known as Alex O'Connor, is an English singer-songwriter, musician, and record producer. He has released two studio albums, Bcos U Will Never B Free and Pony, as well as several EPs. His work is a mixture of indie, hip hop, R&B and jazz, combining his soulful vocals with uplifting beats. Rex Orange County's first full-length album, Bcos U Will Never B Free, was released in 2017 to critical acclaim. It included his first hit single, "Loving Is Easy," and was followed by the more ambitious album Pony in 2019. He has since collaborated with Tyler, the Creator,Solange, Blood Orange, Mac Miller, Benny Sings, and Benny Blanco, and has been nominated for a Grammy for his work on Tyler, the Creator's Igor. Additionally, Rex Orange County has appeared on television, performing on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and Saturday Night Live.
