Bobby Lewis is an American Pop and Soul singer, best known for his 1961 hit single "Tossin' and Turnin'. He released a total of 10 singles through 1961 and 1969, five of which charted in the Top 100 of the Billboard Hot 100. Following the success of "Tossin' and Turnin'", he released several follow-up hits in the early 1960s such as "Rockin' Robin", "One Track Mind" and "Best For Last". His 1964 single "Shout, Shout (Knock Yourself Out)" went to number one on the Soul Charts, making him one of the few white vocalists to have a R&B chart number one. Lewis also released several notable albums in the 1960s and 1970s such as Movin' Away (1963) and Carnival of Soul (1965). In later years, Bobby Lewis continued to perform live and released some new recordings, including his celebrated collaboration with Isaac Hayes in 1977.
