Don Carlos is a reggae artist from Jamaica, although his career spanning more than 40 years has seen him explore multiple genres, he is primarily known as an artist dedicated to roots reggae with a social conscious. He started his career in the late 1970s, singing on the legendary 'Black Uhuru' collective before striking out on his own. His debut album, 'Don Carlos & Gold', was released to critical acclaim in 1978 and set the benchmark for the rest of his career. Since then, he's released multiple successful solo albums, collaborated with major names in reggae, and toured extensively around the world. His distinctive voice, and uplifting, socially conscious lyrics remain a popular favourite with reggae fans worldwide.
