Gonzalo Rubalcaba is a Cuban jazz pianist, composer, and bandleader. He has released more than 30 albums over his career, including classics such as Supernova and Inner Voyage. He has collaborated with some of the greatest artists in music, including Pat Metheny, Brad Mehldau, and John Scofield. His music is a mix of jazz, classical, folk, and Latin influences, creating a unique sound. He is known for his mastery of both the piano and the synthesizer, using both instruments together to create a distinct sound. Gonzalo Rubalcaba has been recognized for his contribution to jazz on an international level, having received awards from the National Academy of Arts and Letters in Cuba, the American Jazz Journalists Association, and Jazzpar Prize in Denmark.
