Sam Baker is a singer-songwriter and guitarist whose career has spanned over four decades. He is known for his introspective, honest lyrics, which often draw from his personal life, as well as his unique singing and guitar playing style.

Baker first achieved commercial success with the release of his 1987 debut album, Mercy, which was produced by Buddy Miller and included the singles “Broken Fingers” and “Good News”. Following this, he has released eight studio albums, including his 2015 Grammy nominated Record Cotton, as well as a live album recorded at the BRIC JazzFest in Brooklyn.
