The Howl & The Hum are a band from York, UK made up of singers/songwriters Adam Bolands and Joe Chiddy, and producer/arranger James Young. Their debut EP 'The Howl & The Hum' was released in 2016 and soon afterward they were named BBC Introducing's Artist of the Week. Drawing influence from a variety of artists including Bon Iver and The National, they have crafted their own unique mix of alternative-folk and dream-pop. In February 2019, their debut album 'Human Contact' was released to critical acclaim, and was followed by their 'Electric Ballroom' EP in 2020. Described as "introspective and complex" by Clash Magazine, the band have been building a loyal fanbase ever since and continue regular touring throughout the UK.
