About Wishful Thinking
Wishful Thinking is an alternative folk-rock band led by singer-songwriter Martin Armstrong, who is an English singer and multi-instrumentalist. They achieved success in the early 1980s with hit singles such as 'Hollywood', 'Funny How Love Can Be', and 'Him or Me'. The band released 4 albums between 1980 and 1987 before splitting in 1991. In 1999, Armstrong reformed the original lineup and released a new album, Sweet Social Intercourse, as well as a live album in 2000. The band continues to tour and perform in the UK and Europe, and have achieved a devoted cult following. As well as releasing solo albums, Armstrong recently composed and arranged a musical version of Roald Dahl's The Witches.
