Wide Awake was supposed to premiere last year but got cancelled due to the pandemic. Thus, this year Wide Awake debuts in London’s festival scene. The event takes up an entire day. The lineup includes big names, such as IDLES, Daniel Avery, Erol Alkan, Black Midi, and many more.

Mighty Hoopla

The King of Pop is back! Mighty Hoopla is London’s biggest festival playing exclusively pop music, and everyone is invited! The festival is more than just fantastic music. Cross the Tracks

London has a jazz festival in 2021 like no other. We are talking about Cross the Tracks, the number one festival in the UK playing jazz, funk, and soul! This is the third festival in a row taking place at Brixton’s Brockwell Park. Cross The Tracks is imbued in black music and culture. Without the talent and courage of black artists, the festival would have never reached cult status. That’s why this year they are working with Black Minds Matter, a brilliant charity.
But that’s not all. The festival brings together more than forty street food stalls and a group of craft beer brewers. There will also be workshops, a vintage fair, and a creative market. Wireless

One of the most successful festivals in the UK is moving to new premises. Wireless will be held at Crystal Palace Park and not at its usual venue, Finsbury Park. What remains the same is the outstanding lineup. Wireless is known for presenting the top on both sides of the Atlantic. Every year, the best local artists and American ones share a fantastic stage. This year, the star performer is Megan Thee Stallion.
Wireless specializes in grime and hip-hop. They consistently bring jaw-dropping acts, from iconic performers to the bands of the moment. Some of the artists performing this year are Travis, D-Block Europe, Lizi Uzi Vert, M24, Rick Ross, and Skepta. We Are FSTVL
September 11 – 12
Some music festivals in September in the UK are in a league of their own. Such is the case of We Are FSTVL, arguably the best dance and electronic music festival in the city. This year’s festival promises to make everyone dance as if there was no tomorrow. However, they moved to a new venue: Dagenham’s Central Park. The lineup couldn’t be better. We are talking about the most sought artists right now, including The Blessed Madonna, Gorgon City, Carl Cox, Nina Kraviz, Sub Focus, and Mas Vida.
One of the things we love the most about We Are FSTVL is how well everything is organized. There is always enough space for everyone to dance as much as possible and to rest. Likewise, there will be plenty of free clean drinking water all around the premises. All you have to do is bring your own plastic bottle and remember to fill it up constantly. Dancing to your favourite artists will make you sweat like crazy!
City Splash

When it comes to Reggae, there simply isn’t a festival as grand as City Splash. Where else can you find over 40 of the most talented musicians? As you can imagine, four fantastic stages are needed to host so many artists. We are talking about the biggest names in dub, dancehall, grime, roots, and hip hop. Dawn Penn, Teshay Makeda, Kiko Bun, and Mad Professor are just some of the artists you must not miss.
At City Splash, food is an attraction in itself. Over 15 food stalls will be offering delicious Caribbean dishes. Evidently, the drinks will be equally cool. You won’t have trouble finding your favourite beverage, including specially selected rum, beers, stouts, and spirits. There will be enough tables and staff to reduce queuing. Likewise, everything will be cleaned constantly. The organizers want you to be safe and happy.
Hospitality Weekend in the Woods
September 18 – 19
Hospitality is behind some of the most celebrated music festivals in London, and this 2021 they are having their biggest UK event ever! Their pride and joy label, Hospital Records, turns 25 and wants to celebrate big time! Expect state-of-the-art equipment, unparallel sound design, and over-the-top productions. No one does immerse concerts like Hospitality!
The brand is called Hospitality for a reason. They believe in making you feel part of the show and want you to have the time of your life. This two-day event will feature 8 massive stages spread across Beckenham Place Park, London. The line-up includes venerated drum and bass artists such as Kings of the Rollers + Inja, My Nu Leng, Noisia, and Camo & Krooked.
Waterworks
September 25
The much anticipated Waterworks festival will finally debut this year. Everyone wanted to go last year, and we all know what happened. So expectations for this year are even higher. Waterworks bills itself as a melting pot of different cultures and music. Thus, they promise one of the most eclectic, avant-garde, and diverse music festivals in London. They want to make a name for themselves and become one of the big established festivals in the city.
Electronic music keeps evolving and incorporating new genres. Consequently, the festival wants to be a platform for new sounds and talent. However, make no mistake. Seasoned artists and legendary musicians will be playing too. Waterworks will take place in Gunnersbury Park, in the middle of a forest. Remember to look above the trees for a unique view of London’s industrial skyline.
Electric Woodlands
September 25
Fortunately, the list of events in London in September keeps growing. Electric Woodlands is a newbie that is worth your attention. The festival will have 3 stages managed by different electronic powerhouses. DnB Allstars will be in charge of The Big Top. They are the biggest online drum & bass community and have selected unbelievable artists. Crucast will host the Clearing Stage. They are all about new music. The famous over-the-top collective Foreverland will manage the Enchanted Forest Stage. They promise an incredible show.
Electric Woodlands will take place in the Bygrave Farm in Baldock. This isolated lush farm is just half an hour from London. No worries, Big Green Coach will operate buses from nearby areas and the Stevenage Station. There will be enough food, drinks, and space to rest to see you through the day.
