Janeane Garofalo is an American stand-up comedienne, actress and political activist who began performing stand-up comedy in the late 1980s. She rose to prominence with her role in the 1994 comedy Reality Bites and has since acted in a wide variety of films. Janeane has also appeared on several TV shows such as The Larry Sanders Show, 24, and New Girl. She was a regular contributor to The Huffington Post and co-hosted the now-defunct Air America Radio with Sam Seder. She is currently hosting the Maximum Fun podcast “Ragin’ Queerin’ with Janeane and Brennan”. Janeane continues to act, tour as a stand-up comedian and work as a political activist in the world of progressive politics.
