Bluechips is an alternative hip-hop trio from Dallas, Texas. The group consists of three childhood friends: To1ne, Gino Fox, and Saint Polite. The members of the group first began making music together in 2005, writing bars and crafting beats in their hometown. After gaining a strong local fanbase, they released their debut mixtape “In Retrospect” in 2008, which received critical acclaim. In 2010, the group was featured in The Source magazine's “Unsigned Hype” article, while their follow up mixtape “The Nickel & Dime Chronicles” received underground success. Since then, Bluechips has continued to grow and create new music, including their EPs “The Prologue” and “The Preface”. They have been praised for their smooth production, catchy hooks, and positive message, and remain one of the most iconic hip-hop groups in the south.
