Lyn Lapid is a modern Filipino singer and songwriter from Manila, Philippines. Her career began when she began writing and producing her own music in the Philippines in 2005. She gained popularity releasing unique stylings of Filipino traditional music, modern pop, and RnB grooves. Her sound is a combination of traditional Filipino style blended with elements of jazz, dance, and hip hop music. Her music has won her three gold records as well as a nomination for the 2008 Awit Awards. Lyn is also a voice actor, featured in many films and television shows. She is best known for her hit song "No Time to Waste" which has become widely popular in the Philippines and has become an anthem for Filipino youth.
