Pépe is a Spanish singer-songwriter from Bilbao, Spain. He first made waves in the music world by being the runner up in the ninth series of Operación Triunfo. He later released his debut EP titled hendaia in 2017. His single "Bajo el sol" solidified Pépe as a household name in Spanish pop music. Following the success of that single, he released his debut album Chico de barrio in 2018. The album was met with critical acclaim as his sound was described as a blend of jazz, soul and rock with a latin influence. Following its success, Pépe released a deluxe version of the album with two additional songs. He has since released the singles "Carnaval" which won him "Best Song" at Premios PLATINO and "El hombre de tus sueños".
