About Foster the People
Foster the People is an American indie pop band formed in Los Angeles, California, in 2009. The group was founded by lead vocalist Mark Foster and gained widespread fame with their hit single "Pumped Up Kicks" in 2010, known for its catchy melody juxtaposed with darker themes. Their debut album, *Torches* (2011), received critical acclaim and commercial success, leading to Grammy nominations. Over the years, the band has continued to evolve their sound across albums like *Supermodel* (2014) and *Sacred Hearts Club* (2017), all the while maintaining a strong presence in the indie music scene with their energetic and artsy performances.
