Foster & Allen, also known as Mick Foster and Tony Allen, are an Irish folk music duo consisting of a singer/guitarist and singer/accordionist from Ballymote and Tuam, Ireland respectively. They have been performing together since 1976, when a mutual friend of theirs suggested they should pursue a music career. Foster & Allen have released over 30 albums, including their greatest hits collection 'Musical Memories'. They are best known for their high-energy, folky style which often has a fun, upbeat sound to it. Several of their albums have topped the UK Specialist Classical Charts, including 'Songs That We Remember', 'Musical Memories' and 'We Only Know'. Foster & Allen's music has also been used in television and radio roles, as well as several movies.
