About Julia Fordham
Julia Fordham is a British singer-songwriter, best known for her light, breezy pop music from the late 1980s and 1990s. She began her music career playing in pubs and clubs in her native England before being signed to Circa Records in 1988. Her debut album, Porcelain, garnered critical acclaim, as did subsequent releases Concrete Love and East West. Fordham also collaborated with other artists, such as the storied Japanese vinyl-only album X-Tracks with Ryuichi Sakamoto. Over the course of her career, Fordham has issued ten studio albums, with her 2006 release Signature featuring covers of songs from throughout her long career. In more recent years, Fordham has focused on theatre writing, and her musical A Winter’s Tale has been produced in London’s West End.
