Kimbra Lee Johnson, also known simply as Kimbra, is a New Zealand singer, songwriter and musician. She rose to fame after appearing alongside Gotye in the 2012 world-renowned single, "Somebody That I Used To Know". Her sound encompasses a wide variety of musical genres, such as indie pop, electro soul and art rock.

Her 2011 debut LP, Vows, was a commercial success, charting Certified Gold in New Zealand, the USA and Australia, and earning her a Grammy Award in Australia for her collaboration with Gotye. She followed up this success with her sophomore album, The Golden Echo, in 2014 and then Primal Heart in 2018, with further chart placement around the world.
