Matthew Herbert is an award-winning English electronic musician and experimental composer. He has been active in the music industry since the early 1990s and incorporates multiple genres into his music, such as jazz, classical, funk and soul. He experiments with sounds and sampling, using everyday objects and sounds to create innovative music.

Herbert has released 11 studio albums, five remix albums and two live albums. He has also composed original music for theatre, film, radio and television, and scored a number of soundtracks. His 2004 record 'Bodily Functions' earned him the Ivor Novello Award for Best Album, and his work has been heavily supported by the fashion industry. Beyond music, Matthew Herbert has been involved in a number of humanitarian and political campaigns, such as a campaign against Tesco's supplier relationships and a petition against the Gaza blockade.
