The Newsboys are an Australian Christian pop rock band formed in 1985. They reached mainstream success in the 1990s with their single, "Shine," which reached the Top 10 on the US Billboard Christian music chart. The group has released 16 studio albums, four live albums, and five compilation albums. Notable releases include "Truth Be Known" (2000); "He Reigns" (2005); and "God's Not Dead" (2011). Newsboys have achieved numerous awards and nominations, including five GMA Dove Awards from the Gospel Music Association and two Juno Awards from the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences. Despite several lineup changes, Newsboys have consistently toured and released music for over three decades. They are currently signed to Fair Trade Services Records and are widespread in their popularity.
