Oasis was a British rock band that was formed in Manchester, England in 1991. The band was composed of brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher, along with guitarist Paul "Bonehead" Arthurs, bassist Paul "Guigsy" McGuigan, and drummer Tony McCarroll. The band gained initial success with the release of their debut album, Definitely Maybe, in 1994, which was followed by (What's the Story) Morning Glory? in 1995. The album included the singles "Wonderwall," "Don't Look Back in Anger," and "Champagne Supernova," which all turned into worldwide hits. Between 1994 and 1996, Oasis achieved massive global success, selling over 30 million albums worldwide. Following a series of lineup changes in the late 90s, the band put out two more albums (Standing on the Shoulder of Giants and Heathen Chemistry) before ultimately disbanding in 2009.
