Wreckless Eric is an English singer and songwriter best-known for his punk-infused brand of alternative rock. Born in Scotland, he moved to London at age 17 and began playing music. He was briefly part of the famed Stiff Records, which released his smash 1978 single, “(I'd Go the) Whole Wide World”. His debut album, Take the Carp was released on Stiff, and his follow-up, The Wonderful World of Wreckless Eric, was Stiff's first US release. Following a move to the US in the mid 1980s, he released a handful of albums, including Big Smash and Construction Time & Demolition. Wreckless Eric has also appeared on compilations such as A Dysfunctional Family Christmas and Velvet Edge. He continues to tour the UK, the US, and Europe.
