About Relient K
Relient K is an American rock band formed in 1998 in Canton, Ohio. They rose to fame in the early 2000s with the hit singles “The Diary of Anne Frank” and “The Best Thing” from the band’s 2001 major label debut album The Anatomy of the Tongue in Cheek. The album went on to reach platinum status, selling over 1 million copies.
The band’s later releases, Mmhmm (2004) and Five Score and Seven Years Ago (2007), both appeared on the Billboard 200 chart, with the latter peaking at number 6 in the US. At the height of their commercial success, Relient K toured with acts like Paramore, Jimmy Eat World, and Taking Back Sunday. After the release of their next album, Forget and Not Slow Down, the band moved to a more indie-rock sound and self-released Collapsible Lung (2013).
