About Buzzkocks
Buzzcocks are an English punk rock band formed in 1976 in Bolton. The original line-up consisted of Pete Shelley on guitar and vocals, Steve Diggle on bass and vocals, and Howard Devoto on vocals. After signing to United Artists Records, the Buzzcocks released their debut EP 'Spiral Scratch' in 1977, launching the UK's independent record label movement.
The band’s signature sound featured fast, melodic, guitar-driven and personally charged, punk-influenced songs. Their debut album, 'Another Music in a Different Kitchen', was released in 1978 and their 1982 album 'A Different Kind of Tension' saw a jump in popularity with the single 'What Do I Get?' becoming an anthem of the new wave era.
Buzzcocks continue to tour across the world and in 2017, they released their tenth studio album 'The Way'. Since then, they have put out many live albums, as well
