Memoriam is a UK metal band that blends classic old school death metal with more modern influences. Formed in 2015 by founding member Karl Willetts (ex-Bolt Thrower frontman), the band also consists of Andy Whale (ex-Bolt Thrower), Frank Healy (Sacrilege) and Scott Fairfax (Cerebral Fix). Although initially viewed as straightforward death metal, their sound has evolved to include elements of grunge, doom, and sludge. Their acclaimed debut album, 2016’s “For The Fallen”, has seen a series of critically acclaimed follow-ups including “The Hellfire Demos”, “The Silent Vigil” and “Requiem For Mankind”. The band is seen as one of the leading proponents of the heavy metal resurgence in the modern era.
