The Knife is an electronic Swedish duo consisting of siblings Olof Dreijer and Karin Dreijer Andersson. They are known for their eclectic mix of synth-pop, indie, electronic and dance music. Their association with the Swedish electronic collective known as the "Rabid" helped propel their popularity and success. The duo released their debut album, 'The Knife' in 2001, gaining both critical and commercial success. They followed up this success with their subsequent four albums, 'Deep Cuts' (2003), 'Silent Shout' (2006), 'Shaking the Habitual' (2013) and their latest release, 'Tomorrow, in a Year' (2010). The Knife are credited with creating their own unique and distinct style of music, fusing elements of techno with art-pop. They have released eight studio albums in their two-decade-long career and are widely considered to be one of the most influential electronic music acts of all time.
