Waajeed is an American music artist from Detroit, Michigan. He is a hip-hop-producer, turntablist, multi-instrumentalist, and composer, as well as the head of Platinum Pied Pipers. Waajeed's production and beats have helped shape the sound of Detroit hip-hop. He has produced and collaborated with many artists and released a number of albums and mixtapes. He has also worked on soundtracks for multiple films, such as Supa Fry and Poetic Justice. Waajeed has gone on to produce for artists including J Dilla, De La Soul, Slum Village, Bilal, D’Angelo, and Elzhi. He continues to be involved in the Detroit music scene, always inspiring and pushing boundaries with his work.
